Samir M. Nassar and I are pleased to announce the official launch of Web Developer News. WDN is a news site for web developers and by web developers.

Where can you get breaking web development news? What events are going on? What new tools are available? Are there any new tutorials you should read? Who’s who in web development and what do they have to say? Get answers to all these questions at Web Developer News.

We don't want to sell you anything. We don't shill for any company. We don't fudge reviews. The Internet has enough hype already and we appreciate that, so when you come to WDN, you enter a hype-free zone.

We will probably make mistakes, but we hope we won't let you down in our commitment to bringing you news that's relevant to web developers around the world.

For now, comments are off, site-wide. We will be making commenting available as soon as we have better mechanisms to handle comment spam. Until then, please feel free to contact us through our contact page. You can also reach us on irc.freenode.net in #webdevnews.
