 hum - presumably you have already sketched things out with felt tips on 
paper.

next something with vector graphics inside like freehand and late 
version of PS - 7 is it?

 this stuff is quite expensive - so if you cant afford them there are 
shareware apps but chosing a good one will take time.

 if you can afford them you'll find that one software wont but able to 
do everything you need. so find the features in each that help the project.

what sort of computer do you have?
