K 8, I think you are a bit confused about what was being requested. If not, then maybe I am. :) Free Agent was a great little NNTP client that I remember using 'back in the day'. It has also been a while since I have used usenet for more that just the odd browse. That said, it depends on what features you are looking for in a client. Are you looking to pull down large, multi-segment files or simply read through text posts? For text-based groups, I am still a fan of "the client currently known as thunderbird".
