To be honest, from a programatic standpoint, it sounds like the DLL you're
using has a hard coded limit on the number of connections.  Perhaps the
variable is only scoped to be a single byte, and therefore can only hold 9.
That would be 'spocktical.'

For future, please include more information in your posts for help.  Your
post was devoid of key technical information that would have allowed anyone
to help you (such as the DLL in question!?).
