I am on a mac, using fetch. I see where you can change the permission
settings, but when I do I get an error stating:

'server reponse: 'SITE UMASK' not understood.

not sure what this means or how to correct it......I think this is my
problem though :-)

site umask is not the right command - that's just the install default
with fetch iirc, you click inside a text box on that interface, and
change it to read:

chmod 755 yourfile.htm

then hit enter/return or okay etc., repeat as needed.
