A lot depends on how you define a city, too - is it the political entity
of an incorporated area, is it any town that decides to give itself a
name and a township, is it anyplace that has a post office and at least
one zip code?

If you 'splain what your goal is, I'll bet there's a million of us
willing to offer endless unsolicited advice about how to do it ;)

(and besides San Marcos, Rob, there's also a San Diego in both CA and TX
- the San Diego CA Union/Tribune once ran a huge front page story with
the headline "San Diego Decimated by Hurricane" when, in fact, the tiny
coastal town in Texas *had* been hard hit by a nasty gulf storm. Wish I
still had my copy!)
