Thanks, Ben, for the advice which was absolutely correct. I wasn't aware of
this measure and hadn't picked it up in my reading/research, but I'll be
aware of it now! Very much appreciated.

Thanks also, Ian, for the further tips, and Ben for the warning/article
concerning making global changes. There's so much to learn! I've only just
today come across such a thing as this "hasLayout" business. Anyway, thanks
for helping to solve the problem; I can now play around with the result and
try and get some uniformity between IE and the rest!
