[thelist] deleting messages b4 a certain date

hi Evolt from malaysia!

currently using pine to keep up with mail as quickest way to deal with 
mail.

is it possible, so i dont have to press d for screen apon screen, to just 
delete all messages before todays date? 

perhaps using grep or something 
directly on the mailbox?

i get alot of spam so i max out my account b4 a 
few days are out, so i have to delete the whole mail file but then i have 
the possibility of new mail coming and losing it.


any suggestions much appreciated
