[thelist] Handling multiple blogs on different domains

Has anyone come across some software that will make it relatively easy
to handle multiple blogs, each with their own domain? At the moment I
have three WordPress blogs all running separate instances of the latest
WP stable release, which I figure is going to be a right pain when it
comes to the next release and I have to upgrade them all. I've seen
WordPress MultiUser[1] but it isn't even documentated yet and seems to
be aimed more at multiple blogs running off subdomains rather than their
own individual domains.

I'd prefer to avoid hacks like symlinking lots of files/directories,
partially because I think it will end up being more of a hassle to
maintain than separate copies of the code and also because it's easy to
lose track of where everything points once you have half a dozen blogs
setup

Any pointers would be appreciated.
