[thelist] Form submit to popup?

So I guess I've been living under a rock for the past few months/years,
because it's just been brought to my attention that IE6 and Safari 2 (at
least) are breaking the form-to-popup script I've been using for years.

The code is largely based on something shared by .jeff some time ago (which
is also now borked):

So, is there a generally accepted, buzzword-compliant mean of having a
simple form submit to a new window with minimal chrome and a specific size?
