[thelist] Odd PHP mail behavior

If you spoof a FROM address in a bulk email to prevent all those
undeliverables from bad email addresses (in PHP), how does the system
know who REALLY sent the email addresses? Alternately is there a way to
take all these bad emails and feed it into a script to remove the bad
email addresses from the MYSQL table?
