hi Chris

no idea if this will help you out, but over the last couple of years I 
have tried a fair few CMS systems and gave every single one up for 
WordPress.

granted that it is a mainly a blog but it is slowly evolving into a CMS. 
the standard theme looks real good and of course it is completely skinnable
