understood - so, used appropriately, iframes might be a viable solution
to the particular issue I'm facing?

I'm really working on implementing 'best practices' as I learn new
things, so I don't repeat the mistake of using tables for layout
loooooooong after I knew better, because it was already a
well-entrenched habit.
