Another alternative to an email newsletter with photos in it, to share with
family and friends, is to simply set up a *free* blog.

I recommend a blog because then you can update it with more than just
photos. You can put audio podcasts, video player embeds of webcam or
camcorder videos, and textual content, and your family and friends can post
comments to the blog.

I strongly suggest Blogger <http://www.blogger.com> as the best blog tool
for photo, audio, and video uploading. WordPress and some other blog
platforms are a pain to upload photos and art to. I suggest
YouTube<http://www.youtube.com>as the spot to upload your videos to
and then get the code to put the embed
player in your blog. I suggest Odeo <http://odeo.com> as a free podcast
studio, mp3 converter, and player embed tool.
