[thelist] Email: Newsletter Programs

Thanks for the tips -

In a corporate setting - does IT or Marketing usually create & generate the newsletters? In this case a small marketing dept wants to create zippy newsletters without much knowledge on how to do it. So I think they are looking for templates. The people they are going to send them to are already members of the association. But I think they wanted to personalize them with a name.

We have Outlook here. My idea was to create it in Word then copy & paste to outlook.

Also, don't try to make the email newsletter a web page or a print vehicle
(magazine, etc.) Think value, quickly conveyed. Don't worry about graphics,
just a logo will do. Focus on the text, readable, scan and skim format,
bullets, lists, not dense paragraphs. I'll ask my boss for more tips later
today.
