[thelist] Indicating required form fields

After a quick Google search, I found the following page:

http://simplyaccessible.org/examples/required-form-fields

The author suggests that people who use screen readers are perfectly
happy to accept the asterisk (*) as an indicator that the field is
required, the only consideration is ensuring that the asterisk is read
before the input box is displayed to prevent confusion. Sounds
reasonable.
