Good choice to go with Drupal.

You really don't need any kind of special hosting, unless you want 
specific Drupal support. There's great community support through 
http://drupal.org/forum and Drupal's built on standard (from a 
hosting perspective) php / mysql code.

You'll want non-windows hosting - pair.com as recommended by David 
is a great choice. They offer solid support but are slightly more 
expensive than others. Dreamhost is a great host, I've heard good 
things about 1and1, and recently ArteryPlanet was recommended to my 
list (see the post from Joe Halbrook 
http://www.led-digest.com/content/view/1768/55/ ).

I'd stay away from GoDaddy.
