Hi Bruce,

Is there any need to run IE6 on Vista?

Microsoft makes IE6 available in a VM. See IEBlog:
http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2007/03/20/ie6-vpc-refresh-now-available.asp
x

You can get VPC2007 free from the Microsoft website, or run the VHD inside
VMWare if you prefer.

Cheers
Ken

Subject: [thelist] standalone IE 6 and VISTA

I just downloaded the stand-alone IE6 from here:

http://browsers.evolt.org/download.php?/ie/32bit/standalone/ie6eolas_nt.zip

unzipped and tried to open IE6 to know avail. The error simply says "The
application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click OK to
terminate the application."

I was wondering if this is something that doesn't work with Vista
!
