This is one of Joel's few disappointing articles.  As far as I can tell,
he's waiting for the web to look like VBScript or Win32.

It probably doesn't help that his main product is written in a self-made,
VBScript-devired language called Wasabi that compiles down to, well, about
anything other than Ruby (which he says can't handle his performance
requirements).
