[thelist] OT: Need a new laptop for development...

Have had absolutely no issues with my Dell Inspiron 8600 with 2GB memory and
120GB hard drive.  Do everything from graphics to video to audio - it just
takes it and never complains.

If I were starting over, I might consider a Mac since it will run Windows
OS/applications.

Go for a Apple Macbook Pro if you are okay with Macs; otherwise, HP beats
Dell on all fronts.
