Another option would be to set the overflow to scroll (to catch non-JSers),
then using javascript, set the overflow to hidden and attach handlers to the
mouse that allow you to drag the div left and right within the clipping
region, ala google maps.  Should be pretty straightforward, though perhaps
not the easiest thing to do if you have limited JS and DOM experience.
