No, they don't give you any temporary licenses - at least not with the PC version of Virtual PC

Of course you can access "localhost" on the main PC. "localhost" is just an entry in the HOSTS file on each Windows machine. By default it points to 127.0.0.1. You can change it to point to any arbitrary address (e.g. the IP address of the host PC).

If you are using "local only" networking, then no network exists between the guest OS and the host OS, so you need to either use Shared Networking (NAT) or the Bridge to Physical Adapter option. In those cases, the guest OS is just another machine on the network, and normal networking rules apply.

What "speed patch" are you talking about? AFAIK no such thing exists.

Are you sure you're talking about the same product the rest of us are talking about?
