[thelist] Ecard software abuse - how to detect?

Hi listers,

I have a php ecard system running on a site, called Sendcard (latest  
version 3.4.1).
Now suddenly the site is blocked for spam. So somehow it is abused.
The stats are raised these days but that's normal because high ecard  
season.
I looked through the access log ... Where and how can I detect and  
stop this abuse?
