[thelist] css container div is not working in firefox

Hi Paul,

I did wrap the nav and content in a div with the same background color as
the nav column, which is why I don't understand why this is happening....
I will look at the Yahoo article, I am developing a hole in my office wall
from all the banging of my head.
:-)

Thanks,
Nan

Hi Nan,

If you want the navigation container to appear to stretch the same length as
the content, you'll need to wrap the nav & content in a containing element
(div), give the containing element a background color and then float the nav
and content.

Be aware there are browser quirks and bugs with floated content that touches
other floating content (e.g.: the IE6 peekaboo bug), so you may want to look
at something like YUI grids (http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/grids/) if you
want to invest a little learning time to get a bullet-proof, cross-browser
layout.

:)
Paul

Sorry I didn't think to add a link, I sent that last email before I had
finished it.
Here is a sample of this page that works in IE and not in Firefox:

http://www.projecthealthychildren.org/newsite/micronutrients.php

I started adding multiple <br />'s to the bottom of the navigation, knowing
full well this is a horrible, childish solution.

This is a work in progress, of course.

TIA
Nan
