[thelist] PHP framework recommendation

For a change I'm doing mostly the front-end part of updating a site. :-)

The back-end will be re-done in PHP by someone else, and I'd like
to steer the project in the direction of using an MVC framework with
an ActiveRecord-style ORM.

I've found some comparisons online, but recommendations would
be good, particularly concerning least daunting learning curve -- as
usual, the owner wants it yesterday  :-)
