In work I use PhpEd but it is quite cost restrictive (well, I thought so)
and has some very annoying quirks and habits (like its user, I suspect)
For home and personal use I use Editplus and am more than happy with it...
It also has user-created auto-complete/syntax-highlighting files as well as
plugins
Editplus isn't free (there is a trial) but it isn't too expensive
