Fred, Thanks - I've updated to 6.4 - I'll also try the Drupal forum again,
but any other suggestions would be useful.

I personally would be wary of an automated install. One point to note
is that the current version of 6 is 6.4 and 6.3 has security issues.
So anyway your install should be updated.
