I have not worked with osCommerce (yet). A client wanna-be just emailed  me, asked if there is a way to disable the shopping cart / e-commerce functions and 
just leave the products there to view only. I know you can do this with some of the other e-commerce (yes I did hyphenate) solutions.  I don't see anything 
obvious in the admin panel of this install, probably 3-ish years old.
