I bill about $45/hr to my clients.

I don't do anything exceptional for them: PHP work, Joomla site
management, basic design, software/tools evaluation and
selection...jack-of-all-trades type web development.

They aren't paying for any one of those 'skills'...they're paying to
have someone *manage* and *take responsibility for* their whole web
presence.

If it breaks, I fix it. If a tool can do it better, I find it. If we
need more information, I come up with a way to get it.

The building of web sites is a small part.

Understanding their business needs and guiding them toward using the web
to make their businesses successful is the big part.
