[thelist] mysql - null - returns results anyway

By view I mean I have a list of 50 (say up to 200) or so results and I 
sort them by product name or business name or whatever (order by product 
name asc). 

So the real question which remains unanswered is: Is there a different, 
better method (to sort results)?

Maybe I miscommunicated?
