Point out the need for metrics (good emails, hard bounces, spam reports,
unsubs, new subs, etc; the good, bad, and indifferent) and include a SWAG
about the time/cost to create such.

Then, present the wheels already invented, including one which is <*gasp*>
free! At the moment, they probably don't even know a hole exists, therefore,
why expend effort/money to fill it?

Show 'em the hole.
