all your statements in one query is good if you really have a lot of users hitting the site at once, but i wouldnt worry about it from a business POV as getting a sql statement which does alot in one go is more of a optimisation thing / academic pursuit. my £2 -- rgds, Alex http://bit.ly/my-posts
