Heathkit H-8 w/ H-9 serial terminal & cassette tape loader.  Soldered it
together with my Dad in the summer of '79.  Kicked off my life-long love
of electronics & computing.

Amazing.  I wasn't the only one who did that.  Radio Shack sold several
model IIIs to the school system that fall, so I switched to the school
computers.  Upgraded my machine language skills from 8080 to Z80. :-)

Bought and built my own Heathkit H-100 to carry to college.  Because my
dad wouldn't part with his.

Yeah, I'm old.
