Following our age-old thelist convention and updating the subject to start
a new thread :)

Boy I missed those good old days!

The IP has good reputation, though email providers are getting stricter as
the time goes by.

Here are a few things that I guess is impacting gmail to mark the thelist
emails as spams.

- Although it has proper SPF records, the emails sent do not have a valid
DK/DKIM signature.
- The email is not encrypted (it has a red padlock with a cross in gmail,
which alarmingly gives an insecure/spammy feeling even if it’s not spam.

Here are a few other findings that I got after a quick scan:

- RBL: Sender listed at https://www.dnswl.org/, no trust [198.199.71.69
listed in list.dnswl.org]
- Multiple indicators imply a widely-seen list manager

If it’s just my gmail marking thelist emails as spam, then I’m fine with
that.
Like I said, I’m already forcefully filtering them into my inbox form the
spam folder; telling gmail never to mark them as spam.

I also do understand that our mailer maintainers (I don’t know how many of
you guys are out there, but you deserve full respect for keeping this thing
alive and kicking) … anyways, you guys might have other fish to fry.

I just wanted to point out my observations, so that you can add it you your
backlog or something.

May the source be with you,

Cheers,

Volkan.
