[DesDev] RE: [Content] steering list

Hi all,

Ok. I'm going to try to synthesize this discussion so that we can 
make a decision of some kind and move on. This is the upshot of what 
I've heard Jeff and Martin saying. Please correct me if I have 
anything wrong.

Jeff would like to remain on the steering list.

Because of this, Martin is concerned that Jeff hasn't relinquished 
his role as desdev rep.

Jeff replies that he is not trying to challenge Garrett or I for 
desdev rep, he merely wants to remain on the steering list so that he 
doesn't have to check the archive.

Is this right? Because if it is, it's probably something the steering 
list should discuss not desdev. My suggestion to Jeff would be to 
bring this up on the steering list just to make sure everyone is 
comfortable with it and knows why he wants to remain on the steering 
list and to avoid the kind of... umm... heated discussion we've had 
on desdev today.
