[Javascript] netscape 4.6 - how to make a checkbox disabled...

Hi,

Please tell me how do I make a checkbox readonly in Netscape 4.6. The code
for onfocus="blur()" which I have used for the text box control does not
work for a checkbox. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.
