[Javascript] Dragged layers interfere with link though hidden/behind

I am adapting Dan Steinmans drag3.html drag n drop demo for use as a
demo of dragging items into a Shop at ssistant Classic shopping basket.

(Rough!) work in progress at
http://www.aflyingstart.net/tests/ddvid4.htm

Dan's .js files are unmodified.

The basket image is linked to a dummy version of the reviewbasket()
function, which works as a simple alert.

The video images are duplicated with static and draggable layers so when
you drag an image it is twinned by the image left in place. On dropping
in the basket a test version of the nbasket entry function newchoice()
is fired showing in an alert the data to be sent to the basket.

At this point the dragged layer becomes hidden. You can also see from
the way it goes "into" the basket that the z-index of the basket is
higher than the dragged layers.

Nevertheless in Netscape 4.7 (Windows) (NOT in MSIE 5.5) the position of
the hidden dragged DIV layer interferes with the link to the
reviewbasket() function. The link may show up in the status bar but it
cannot be activiated while the cursor is on the overlap area.

Any thoughts?

TIA

Rodney
