    In IE (probably not much you can do in Netscape), if you set
positioning:absolute for the TEXTAREA type in your style sheet, you can then
set the position and retrieve it.
    Of course, I just installed IE6 because VS.NET said I had to, so maybe
IE 5 can't even do it... but I doubt that would be a problem.
