[Javascript] javascript code for getting and setting coordinates

Firstly if you can view the website 
www.spatialone.com/ie/demo/demo5.html

On there you will see an applet that shows a map - how the hell do i 
create some javascript code that will allow me to set a point on that 
map, which then writes the coordinates to a text file on the internet 
say to www.spatialone.com/pdaneedle/pointcoord.txt whih stores them.  
Then from there how do i retrieve the coordinates that are stored in 
that file and view them on the map??????

HELP, HELP
