Yes, it does support layers. BTW: I misunderstood your previous mail: you 
can disable the entire SELECT, but not an individual OPTION.

Blur probably works, but Netscape 4 doesn't support styles at all on form 
elements. So this is simply not going to work in Netscape 4.
