[Javascript] HTML2EXE

Re: Flash - Flash MX and other Flash-generating tools like RoboDemo, Swish
Max, and RoboFlash will all generate standalone Flash files in .exe format
as well as SWFs. Another person wrote in about "autorun.inf" files - that
works real well with autoplay-enabled computers - I like to use an autorun
file to start a WinHelp file (sans most of the standard Winhelp buttons and
menus) that has a startup macro that brings up the "start page" of my
WebHelp systems in the user's default browser - the WinHelp file can either
function as a splash screen, or it can be configured to stay in the
background and just open the HTML page and then close itself. Let me know if
you are interested in looking at the details. For instances where an autorun
file is not desirable, another method I've used is to deliver the WebHelp
system with only two items in the CD folder view: an opening page and the
folder containing the rest of the files. The "opening page" can be named to
invite the first double-click, and it in turn loads the start page of the
WebHelp system, which in turns loads everything else (tri-pane frameset,
skin, and initial topic).
