I found that a good way to get started on javascript was with "Designing with Javascript" (Second Edition) by Nick Heinle and Bill Pena published by O'Reilly. It is very clear and well written although it does not get into very high level and fancy programming. It's great for a start. Is there any good book that I can get started in? I'm intensive in bash shell scripting, C++, Visual Basic and such.
