I think I missed something in the beginning of this thread.  Why would
anyone go to any trouble
to make <input type="image"> work, when <img src=""> is the standard?

If it's a matter of wanting to be able to click on it, wouldn't an onclick
do the trick?

I'm sure there's a good reason, I would just like to know what it is.
