I can, it just makes the process more complicated. Something that  
makes moving the system somewhere else more difficult. Why do people  
use web mail instead of mail clients. Because they like the freedom  
it gives them. It doesn't mean they are bad people because they  
prefer simple, consistent ways of doing things. It doesn't mean they  
do not have permission to install email software, just that they  
prefer the simplicity of opening a browser and getting their mail.  
All of the suggestions are doable and may be the final solution I  
use, it is just not how I would like it to work.

I understand the security implications much more now, and still may  
be able to provide a workaround since the two things completely in my  
control will be the IP camera and the web server.
