[Sysadmin] On Secondary Disk

Hi David,

I had theplanet people swap the cables on the drives so that the
secondary is now the primary and reboot the machine. Thanks to your
setting up of the backup, it looks like the disks are pretty much in
sync and we didn't lose any data at all. One thing that I can't
figure out is how the mysql database is in sync. The script doesn't
seem to backup the /var/lib/mysql directory but the newest article on
the site is still Adrian's on QR codes from March.

I only did a spot check of the files. Is there anything else that
needs to be checked before we have theplanet replace the secondary?

Also, when the server was in rescue mode, I took a look at the log
files and didn't see any problems. I'm not sure what took the server
down. In the syslog, you see the period --Mark-- and then it starts
to reboot. It's almost like a power bump or memory fault or something
took it down. I did a fsck on the disks at that time and they both
came back okay so I don't know if the root cause of the failure has
been identified.

Dean
