I'm guessing here but in theory all we need is a cert for evolt.org and
then configure squirrelmail to go via https rather than http.

There would be nothing stopping us from generating our own cert, but if we
don't get one from Thawte/Verisign/TrustedThirdPartyOfTheWeek then we'd
have that old pop-up problem of "this certificate cannot be verified".
