If they're important to you, take the trouble to document them. Better: 
take the trouble to suggest fixes. Best: put in some effort to fix 
them. Your requests will generally done *much* faster if you put some 
time in to contribute the work needed. Or if you do really anything 
positive at all.

But standing on the sidelines, throwing in late and insufficiently 
detailed issue reports and feature requests, then refusing to document 
them just smells of rearguard diversionary tactics.

If you don't care enough about your shopping list to put in the time to 
document them to a sufficient level to enable diagnosis and resolution, 
then how does that persuade anyone else to take them seriously?

You want them looked at? You document them. Until that point, they stay 
at rumour status. Quibbles with this will invalidate any 
professionalism argument you wish to use.
