Are you using Photoshop?

There isn't a Pantone color mode, so you can't switch from RGB to Pantone

Pantone colors are specific ink mixtures, they're not really even CMYK,
technically.

Photoshop does lets you work with Pantone colors however

if you want to find a rough Pantone equivalent to colors you have in your
file....

use the eyedropper tool to select the color you want to find
the color should appear as the foreground color on your toolbar.

click the foreground color to bring up the color picker.
you should see your color selected on the picker on the left, with all of
the numeric values on the right.

click "custom", under "cancel," and you should see virtual Pantone "book"
with an roughly equivalent color chosen, write down the number and give it
to your print guys

you will notice above the color swatch book, there will be a pull down menu
labeled "Book" you might have to look around up there for the right book, if
"Pantone Coated" or "Pantone Uncoated" isn't already chosen.
