[thelist] Cropping images rather thn "squishing" them

Greg,

In the 'actions' palette in Photoshop, you can make an action to 
resize an image and save it to the same name quickly (obviously, copy 
'em to another folder first), and assign it a function key.  I think 
there is a batch option but I can't remember -- Fireworks and 
ImageReady have them, but if you've only got PS, make your standard 
resize into a function-button action, open about 10-20 at a time (if 
your RAM can handle that), and just click-press-close... it'll take 
maybe 2seconds each.  'Action' is = to 'macro' here, and if you're 
totally clueless just press the little record button at the bottom of 
the palette, do what you want, and then press the stop button and 
it'll bring up the dialogue box to enter a name, function key, etc.  
P.S.  Don't use a function key already assigned to anything 
important! :-)
