when working with nested tables and background images and background colors,
nescape seems to choke on its own vomit quite a bit. in order to force
netscape to not inherit a background image from an upper-level table (which
overwrites a bgcolor), you must set background="" in the nested tables or
cells in which you want your pretty background colors to show through.
